Moonwake opened in October of 2019 for a sold out limited run. An original theatrical burlesque journey that explores personal transformation, and the strength that comes from within - all under the guise of a fantastical escape from the real world. Through a surreal exterior, our troupe delves deep into a spectral garden of symbolism and liberation, both the players and audiences sharing a journey of transformation. This piece was written by our members in pursuit of creating a unique story that delights audiences with its fanciful daydream sequences, and unites them by demonstrating the power of vulnerability. There is strength in being soft. Sharing your body in movement and exposure is an act of everyday magic, revelry, and revolution.
